What is an authentication app?

Authentication apps generate security codes for signing in to sites that require a high level of security. You can use these apps to get security codes even if you don’t have an internet connection or mobile service.

You can set up an authentication app to generate your access security codes. First, you’ll need to download an authentication app to your computer or phone. After installing and configuring the application to work with the software, you will be able to receive access security codes without a phone number. Some options for authentication apps include:

Android options: Epic Authenticator

iOS options: Epic Authenticator

Using the Authentication App

1. Install and open the application.  

2. When the application requests to scan your QR code, log into the software and navigate to your profile under your user name.

3. The Authentication App QR code will be displayed under your profile information, where it can be scanned directly from your screen.
