Role Types

Below is a brief description of the role types available in Flatiron.

Role Type Description
Site User * Site Users have access to view and modify all site guidance, subject visits and their associated dates and procedures.  They also have access to upload source data.
Primary Investigator * PIs have the same access as Site Users, in addition to the ability to acknowledge the protocol and certify Clinical Significance entries.
Monitor (“CRA”) * Monitors have access to view all subject visits and their related procedures as well as related source data.  They can acknowledge CRA-specific guidance, and review and comment on procedures. Monitors can also issue queries on the form level and field level of procedures and subject logs.
Data Manager Data Managers have access to view all subject visits and their related procedures.  They do not have access to source data. Data Managers also have access to lock visits and subjects as well as create and close queries.  Data Managers have access to real time SDTM data exports.
Read Only Read only access is provided to sponsors, and CROs to view all subject visits and their related procedures.  These users do not have access to any source data.

* These role types will have access to unredacted source data that may contain Patient Health Information.
